The Junior IT Infrastructure Analyst supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of the organization’s IT infrastructure, with a focus on backup and disaster recovery. This role assists with backup and recovery operations, virtualization, Windows Server and Active Directory administration, storage, and network infrastructure.

The position also monitors infrastructure health, troubleshoots technical issues, maintains documentation, and works collaboratively with the IT team on infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and support backup and disaster recovery systems and investigate and resolve failed backup jobs.

- Perform backup restores and assist with recovery testing and disaster recovery exercises.

- Monitor server, storage, virtualization, and backup infrastructure health, performance, and capacity.

- Perform Windows Server administration and routine infrastructure maintenance, including Active Directory.

- Troubleshoot server, storage, virtualization, backup, and network-related issues, escalating complex issues when necessary.

- Assist with physical and virtual server deployments, upgrades, patching, and hardware replacement.

- Support backup repositories, replication, retention, and off-site disaster recovery infrastructure.

- Assist with LAN/WAN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and other infrastructure connectivity troubleshooting.
