Position: Junior Network Engineer Department: Network IT Reports To: Network IT Manager Location: Philippines (Manila or Clark) About the Position We’re looking for a motivated Junior Network Engineer to join Citco’s global IT infrastructure team. This role focuses on learning and supporting our worldwide network infrastructure, combining traditional networking skills with emerging cloud technologies. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will help maintain and grow Citco’s global network, ensuring high availability and performance across our worldwide operations. Core Responsibilities Network Operations & Management • Lead Tier 1 technical support for global network infrastructure • Maintain and optimize WAN/LAN infrastructure across data centers and remote offices • Execute network maintenance, including critical updates and security patches • Implement and manage SDWAN solutions • Support external client connectivity requirements Technical Leadership • Contribute to network architecture decisions and improvements under guidance. • Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure initiatives • Provide troubleshooting support across technology domains. • Ensure compliance with established procedures and security policies Operational Support • Participate in on-call rotation (1 week duration/8-10 weeks intervals) • Adapt to flexible working hours when required • Travel for critical infrastructure projects (several times annually) Required Technical Expertise Network Infrastructure • Routing & Switching o Cisco enterprise routing platforms o Nexus/Catalyst/Meraki switching o OSPF multi-area implementation o BGP (iBGP/eBGP) configuration o STP, VLANs, LACP, vPC, VSS • Security & Access o Palo Alto firewalls & Panorama o IPsec/VPN solution o Cisco AnyConnect o Global Protect o NAC/802.1x implementation • WAN & Performance o VeloCloud SDWAN o QoS implementation o Metro Ethernet/MPLS o F5 BIG-IP load balancing o Network redundancy • Modern Infrastructure o Cloud Networking o Multi-cloud architectures o Infrastructure as Code • Protocols & Analysis o TCP/IP protocol suite o Packet analysis o Network debugging o Performance optimization • Programming skills o Python o Ansible o PowerShell Qualifications • 1+ years enterprise networking experience • Financial sector experience preferred • CCNA required, CCNP preferred • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
