Job Summary: IT Leader (Director-level) to lead secure, reliable, and scalable IT operations in a manufacturing environment. This role owns infrastructure, cybersecurity, and core business systems—including routing/networking and fiber backbone, telecommunications circuits (fiber, T1, wireless), Microsoft server environments, Exchange 2016 mail flow, Epicor ERP support, Mitel IP VoIP, and physical security technologies (Milestone camera system and Isonas door access). The IT Leader is accountable for broad company objectives, develops repeatable processes that meet business needs, and ensures projects and resources are planned, prioritized, and managed efficiently. Responsibilities: Leadership & Planning Provide IT leadership aligned to company strategy, manufacturing uptime requirements, and security expectations. Establish and improve IT processes and standards (e.g., change control, access management, incident response, documentation). Lead, coach, and develop the IT Field Technician and Epicor ERP SQL Programmer roles; set priorities and ensure execution. Drive long-term planning for technology lifecycle, capacity, resilience, and business continuity. Cybersecurity & Risk Maintain a security-first posture across network, servers, email, endpoints, remote access, and physical security systems. Oversee identity and access controls; enforce least privilege and secure access practices. Lead vulnerability management, patch governance, monitoring, and backup/restore readiness; coordinate response to security events. Network, Telecom & Meraki Administer and optimize Cisco Meraki (MX/MS/MR) including VLANs, VPN, segmentation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Manage fiber backbone infrastructure and carrier circuits (fiber, T1, wireless/cellular) to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. Microsoft Infrastructure & Messaging Administer Microsoft server services including Active Directory/Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, file services, and workstation standards. Own Exchange 2016 operational health including mail flow, transport, connectors, certificates, and troubleshooting. Manufacturing Systems & Communications Support Epicor ERP operations and partner with the SQL programmer on reporting, data needs, and integrations as applicable. Administer and support Mitel IP VoIP systems including reliability, troubleshooting, and carrier coordination/QoS considerations. Physical Security Systems Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Milestone (camera/VMS) and Isonas (door access), including provisioning and vendor coordination. Project & Vendor Management Plan, prioritize, and deliver projects efficiently; manage vendors, renewals, and service performance with clear communication to stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. At least 5 additional years of experience in a relevant technical field; prior leadership responsibility strongly preferred. Strong network support experience; Cisco Meraki experience preferred. Hands-on experience with Microsoft server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, file services) and Windows workstations. Experience supporting Exchange 2016 mail flow and transport operations. Familiarity with Epicor ERP in a manufacturing environment; experience with Mitel IP VoIP (or comparable) preferred. Working knowledge of telecom circuits (fiber, T1, wireless) and physical security systems (Milestone and/or Isonas preferred).
