Overview The IT Logistics and Imaging Specialist ensures the smooth operation of IT inventory management, hardware preparation, and system deployment for the organization. This role also involves administering and configuring Active Directory, leveraging group policies, and maintaining computer images. With additional responsibilities in software deployment and vendor coordination, this position is ideal for someone with experience in a Windows domain environment and foundational IT knowledge such as CompTIA A+ certification. This position is designed for an IT professional with technical acumen and organizational skills who is eager to contribute to day-to-day operations and assist in building a robust IT infrastructure. This is not a remote position - it is based at our Support Center in beautiful Boca Raton, FL. Responsibilities Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, including hardware, software, and peripherals. Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Oversee equipment disposal and recycling processes according to company policies. Computer Imaging and Deployment: Develop, update, and maintain disk images for all company computers. Configure, image, and deploy systems for new hires, replacements, or expansion needs. Ensure compliance with company standards by including security updates, drivers, and configurations in imaging. Windows Domain Environment Administration: Administer user accounts and computer objects in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and deactivation. Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce company-wide IT standards, such as security policies and desktop configurations. Troubleshoot issues related to domain connectivity, GPO application, and directory permissions. Software Deployment: Utilize deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, PDQ Deploy) to efficiently roll out applications and updates. Collaborate with the IT team to create and test deployment packages. Shipping and Receiving: Manage the shipping and receiving of IT equipment, ensuring proper documentation and on-time delivery. Resolve shipping or delivery discrepancies proactively. Project Support: Attend meetings on IT infrastructure and expansion projects, offering logistical insights. Track project-related action items and assist with delivering IT resources. Vendor Coordination: Submit and monitor tickets for vendor services such as installations, cabling, or equipment repairs. Escalate and resolve service delays to maintain project timelines. Other Duties as Assigned: Provide general IT support, including troubleshooting and addressing user issues. Assist in team tasks and other department projects as required. Qualifications Required: Experience in a Windows domain environment, including Active Directory and Group Policy administration. Familiarity with imaging tools (e.g., Acronis, Clonezilla, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit). CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent foundational IT knowledge. Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, and software. Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills. Preferred: Experience with software deployment tools like SCCM, PDQ Deploy, or similar. Previous involvement in IT projects, including planning and task tracking. Knowledge of inventory management and ticketing systems. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in IT, business, or related field preferred. 2–4 years of experience in IT support, logistics, or Windows administration roles.
