You will not only guide the IT strategy but also directly build, configure, and troubleshoot systems, ensuring Autobrains’ infrastructure remains cutting-edge and reliable. Responsibilities Hands-On IT Leadership: Lead Autobrains' OnPrem & Cloud IT infrastructure (build, train, and inference platforms) while actively performing hands-on tasks alongside your team. Infrastructure Deployment: Oversee, configure, and deploy infrastructure, servers, networks, and equipment across multiple global sites. Technical Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Windows, and MacOS platforms. Vendor Management: Collaborate with legal and finance teams to onboard and manage external vendors; lead contract negotiations, including pricing and terms. IT Budget & Inventory: Maintain IT budgets, optimize spending, and track IT asset inventory. Collaboration with DevOps: Actively work with DevOps teams to align infrastructure requirements and improve operational performance. Helpdesk Oversight: Manage the helpdesk function and ensure efficient IT procurement processes. Requirements 5+ years as an IT Manager or Senior IT Manager in a deep-tech company (100 employee, multiple global sites). Proven experience with hands-on IT work: building and maintaining hybrid IT infrastructure, including GPUs, scalable compute, high-speed networks, and storage systems. Hands-on system administration across Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Windows, and macOS. Strong scripting skills in Linux/Ubuntu environments, including FreeBSD and Yocto. Proficiency in Python and version control tools (Git). Experience with server virtualization technologies. Cybersecurity: Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain ISO27001 or similar privacy and security standards. DevOps Collaboration: Experience working closely with DevOps teams; leading DevOps teams is a strong advantage. Vendor & Budget Management: Proven success in negotiating contracts, managing IT budgets, and optimizing costs.
