Position Overview: The IT Manager supports the Director of Information Technology in maintaining and enhancing the Ministry’s IT infrastructure, systems, and network operations. This hands-on role focuses on systems administration, network administration, cybersecurity, and helpdesk support, while supervising IT staff and ensuring reliable, secure technology across multiple locations. This is an in-person role requiring frequent statewide travel. What You’ll Do: Supervise IT staff and oversee helpdesk operations, ticketing, and Tier II technical support. Perform systems and network administration, including servers, multi-site connectivity, and infrastructure support. Administer Google Workspace, VOIP systems, user accounts, and endpoint devices. Monitor and maintain network security, firewalls, and cybersecurity protocols. Manage data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues. Support system upgrades, implementations, and IT equipment lifecycle management. Coordinate vendors, service agreements, and IT inventory. Travel to sites to provide hands-on support and ensure system reliability. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field required. 3+ years of IT experience, including systems administration, network support, or helpdesk, with 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems, Google Workspace, VOIP, and multi-site networks. Experience with IT troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and infrastructure support. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently. CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days. Demonstrated Christian background and alignment with the Ministry’s mission. Work Environment: Primarily based at the Corporate Office with occasional travel to regional locations. Typical daytime schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call needs. Ability to lift and move technology equipment up to 50 pounds.
