Engineered Air Balance is looking for a Senior IT Manager to join our dynamic team in Houston. We’re seeking a technology-forward, strategic leader in the industry who brings innovation and can ensure secure, scalable systems across all locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years of experience in IT leadership roles; 3+ years managing distributed office and field operations, preferred.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience leading an IT team for a mid-size company of 200-500+ employees.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), networking, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience with VMware and Cisco Meraki IT Infrastructure platforms, a plus.
  • Experience supporting and managing portable IOS devices.
  • Strong knowledge of business systems used in construction or MEP service environments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL are a plus.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or modernization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing technical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and champion a long-term IT roadmap that supports innovation, scalability, and competitive advantage.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technology strategy with business goals, field operations, and client service excellence.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that enhance EAB’s position as a leader in the construction, commissioning, and TAB/HVAC space.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT function.
  • Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud environments, local networks, field laptops/tablets, and office equipment.
  • Manage third-party platforms such as project management tools, mobile apps, and cloud-based file systems.
  • Ensure secure, high-availability systems for field personnel accessing critical tools and documentation remotely.
  • Lead cybersecurity strategies, including risk assessments, data protection, endpoint security, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Implement IT policies, procedures, and governance aligned with industry standards and any regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA reporting tools, energy benchmarking platforms).
  • Train staff on cybersecurity best practices and ensure consistent enforcement across offices.
  • Lead and mentor a small IT team (internal and/or contracted) responsible for helpdesk support, systems maintenance, and development.
  • Manage relationships with MSPs, software vendors, telecom providers, and other IT partners.
  • Oversee budgeting for IT operations and capital expenditures.
  • Optimize the digital tools used by field operations.
  • Ensure mobile device and field technology reliability for job site use.
  • Support data management for commissioning reports, field documentation, and QA/QC tracking systems.
