Description The IT Manager will oversee and manage the IT department, focusing on network setup, permissions, security, and hardware procurement. The role involves strategic IT planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. Manage the IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance. Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness. Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems. Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Select and purchase new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary. Manage the organization's IT help desk (internal, external, or both). Ensure data storage is safe and secure. Manage the organization's IT network, including network architecture and data communication links. Oversee troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provide expert support when necessary. Work with third-party IT company for primary security management and ensure that disaster recovery and backup systems are in place. Help set up new software platforms and provide ongoing support. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT management, with a focus on network and security. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, data management, and IT best practices. Experience in managing IT procurement and vendor relationships. Leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a technical team. Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
