SUMMARY

Jimerson Birr is seeking a highly motivated and hands-on IT Manager who thrives on getting things done and keeping projects moving. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves, player-coach role ideal for an individual with an “Architect” mindset—someone who builds systems, improves process, and doesn’t let the perfect delay the done. You’ll manage the firm’s IT infrastructure, provide day-to-day support, and help execute technology projects with precision and speed.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT management or senior systems administration
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing infrastructure, user support, and IT operations in a professional services environment
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and owning initiatives end-to-end
  • Clear and concise communicator who can simplify technical concepts for non-technical users
  • Experience with Microsoft environments, Salesforce, security protocols, and cloud systems preferred

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the daily operations of the firm’s IT systems, including help desk, hardware/software, networking, security, and user support
  • Serve as the bridge between technical execution and business needs, clearly communicating priorities, wins, roadblocks, and deadlines across departments
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team on project planning, resourcing, and progress tracking
  • Execute and manage IT projects by dividing responsibilities, tracking tasks, and stepping in hands-on when needed
  • Proactively identify system inefficiencies or user issues and develop practical, timely solutions
  • Maintain high standards for network security, software integrity, and hardware reliability
  • Lead and mentor IT support staff while maintaining an individual contributor workload
