Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Manager to oversee the company’s technology infrastructure and operations in the agriculture sector. This role will involve managing IT systems, networks, security, and support services to ensure that our technology aligns with business objectives and supports efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing IT teams, a strong technical background, and a passion for using technology to enhance business performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, CompTIA) are a plus.
  • Proven experience (8 years) in IT management or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
  • Strong technical skills in areas such as network administration, systems configuration, hardware troubleshooting, and cloud services.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and data protection practices, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Familiarity with agricultural business processes or the ability to understand the technology needs specific to the industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and manage complex technical issues.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing IT professionals.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, understandable information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage IT projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.
  • Network & Systems Administration: Ensure that the organization’s network and systems are operating at optimal performance, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
  • Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Develop and enforce security policies to protect the company’s data and IT assets from cyber threats. Oversee data protection and backup procedures.
  • IT Support & Helpdesk Management: Manage IT support services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues for staff and end-users. Ensure high levels of customer service and user satisfaction.
  • Technology Strategy & Innovation: Collaborate with senior management to assess and implement new technology solutions that align with business needs. Stay up to date with the latest technological trends and opportunities in the agriculture sector.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Manage the IT department’s budget and resources, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality or security.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure high-quality support and services.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team. Provide guidance and training to ensure the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to support the organization’s IT needs.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that IT systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Maintain detailed records and documentation for systems, software, and IT processes.
