Description Description Our organization is seeking an experienced, on-site IT Manager to lead and support our technology operations while partnering closely with a contracted managed service provider. This role focuses on hands-on technical responsibilities that require a physical presence, including network operations, server management, and workstation support. By supporting our team’s technology needs at the conference center and summer camps, you are playing a vital role in our mission to Impact Lives for God’s Glory. Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot voice and data networks, analyzing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and peripheral devices to ensure seamless operations for the conference center. Stay current on trends and developments in technology, including data networking, hardware, and software, to ensure the organization is up to date with best practices and innovations. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for equipment installations, system configurations, and software setups, ensuring that all processes are clearly outlined for future reference and ease of use. Recommend and implement new IT projects to keep the organization’s technology infrastructure up to date, improving both security and efficiency in day-to-day operations. Conduct diagnostics and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues, troubleshoot errors, and ensure the continued smooth functioning of IT systems and devices. Train staff and end users on the proper use of equipment and software, offering support to ensure team members are comfortable with the technology and utilize it effectively. Assist with network security and data protection, ensuring systems are secure and that sensitive data is protected in line with organizational policies and regulations. Provide on-call support for emergency IT issues during events or critical operations, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Perform other duties assigned, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the IT infrastructure and ensuring technology aligns with the organization’s needs. Note: This position requires occasional travel for training or conferences and some evening/weekend work. Requirements Requirements Experience 5–10 years of progressive IT experience Experience managing: IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud systems) IT budgets and vendors Cybersecurity and risk management IT project implementation Help desk or support operations Education Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience High school diploma or GED Other Requirements Valid driver’s license Strong computer and technology skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Proven experience with and knowledge of network control principles, theories, concepts, and technologies Thorough understanding of networking protocols and WAN/LAN wired and wireless networking Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tenant environment, including Entra Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, and work for extended periods Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and computer Frequent typing and data entry requiring manual dexterity Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 60 lbs around various parts of campus, including areas with varying terrain or elevation Visual ability to distinguish between various wire colors and system indicators required for safe installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment
