JOB SUMMARY The Information Technology Manager is responsible for planning, establishing, and managing information technology systems and projects that support manufacturing and business operations. This role oversees IT infrastructure, manufacturing systems, cybersecurity, and IT support services within the plant environment. The IT Manager serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure reliable technology operations and successful project delivery in a manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and project timelines. * Develop and maintain project proposals including objectives, technologies, systems, timelines, staffing, and funding requirements. * Establish and track project milestones, identify risks, and adjust project schedules as necessary. * Establish project communication plans and provide status updates to stakeholders and leadership. * Manage plant IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage systems, and backup environments. * Ensure reliable operation of IT systems supporting manufacturing processes including MES, ERP integrations, and production systems. * Oversee IT support operations including desktops, printers, barcode scanners, and shopfloor terminals used in manufacturing. * Collaborate with engineering, automation, and production teams to support system integration between manufacturing equipment and plant IT networks. * Monitor system performance, identify operational issues, and implement solutions to maintain system stability and uptime. * Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers supporting hardware, software, and network infrastructure. * Collect, analyze, and summarize system performance data to prepare IT and project status reports. * Prepare technical documentation, training materials, and presentations related to IT systems and projects. * Perform other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Hire, train, and supervise members of the IT or technical support team. * Assign responsibilities and oversee workflow of IT staff. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for team development. * Manage disciplinary actions or terminations in accordance with company policies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including 3 years in a leadership or management role. * Experience supporting IT systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. * Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, and enterprise systems. * Experience supporting manufacturing systems such as MES or ERP platforms. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise IT systems. * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field. * Experience supporting electronics manufacturing or high-volume production environments. * Familiarity with MES, SAP, or manufacturing traceability systems. * Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or cybersecurity certifications. KEY COMPETENCIES * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, and corporate IT teams. * Effective communication and stakeholder management. * Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments. The role may require interaction with production areas and IT infrastructure within an ESD-controlled facility. The position may involve standing, walking, or lifting materials up to 20 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when entering production areas. Occasional travel may be required.
