Manager Technology Services - Contract
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Technology Manager. Reporting directly to the VP, Finance and Technology Services, you are responsible for leading the company’s cloud and technology services strategy, overseeing the technical teams in infrastructure and the service desk, ensuring the smooth running of all technical systems, including hardware, software and networks. You will build and manage a high-performing team, ensure technology services are delivered with excellence, while protecting the company with robust governance, controls, and IT security systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and long-term planning of scalable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and data center, ensuring readiness to adopt emerging technologies.
  • Lead the development and management of technology budgets, ensuring cost-effective investments that support strategic IT goals.
  • Lead and manage IT teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate departments to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports organizational needs
  • Develop corporate cybersecurity framework and policies
  • Establish robust cybersecurity controls and operational procedures to ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity framework and policies.
  • Direct and monitor cybersecurity measures, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management, to maintain a secure operating environment.
  • Manage and continuously improve the end-user support services, ensuring the Help Desk and desktop support teams provide timely and effective technical resolution.
  • Build strong relationships with other teams to ensure that technology solutions meet their needs.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in technology infrastructure operations services roles, 5 years in an IT services leadership roles.
  • Experience in the broadcasting industry, including broadcast applications and solutions preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related fields.
  • A demonstrated track record of successful implementation of system solutions, products and technology with a key focus on relationship management
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with Azure cloud
  • Demonstration of Data Warehousing Architecture, Data Storage and Retention Methodologies
  • Network Architecture: Strong understanding of network design and management of an enterprise network infrastructure. Specific technology experience required: Fortinet fortigate
  • Systems Administration: Proficiency in managing operating systems including Windows (desktop and server). Experience with SharePoint, inTune, Purview, EntraID and M365 suite administration is required.
  • Strong working experience in implementing Cybersecurity Framework, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills,
  • Strong leadership, team building and highly developed organizational skills with a track record of achieving results
