QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy, infrastructure management, system implementation, and cybersecurity.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Experience working in senior housing or multi-family residential would be considered an asset.
    HOURS OF WORK: Weekdays, Monday to Friday with occasional evening or weekend based on organizational need.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and execute United’s IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions and digital transformation opportunities that enhance productivity, efficiency and resident experience.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to support growth and innovation.
  • Facilitate IT integration for new acquisitions.
  • Lead and manage IT governance, policies, and procedures.

IT Operations & Support

  • Create and manage the IT operating and capital budgets.
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of day-to-day IT support, ensuring high levels of service and user satisfaction.
  • Facilitate user training on hardware and software as required.
  • Implement and maintain IT service management processes and performance metrics.
  • Update, implement and manage the data management structure.

Asset Management

  • In conjunction with our IT provider, manage IT asset tracking and lifecycle management processes.
  • Ensure proper procurement, inventory control, and maintenance of hardware and software assets.

Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and monitor vendor performance and service levels.

System Implementation

  • Lead the implementation and integration of new systems and technologies across the organization.
  • Ensure effective project management practices are in place for IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure systems meet business requirements and timelines.

Cybersecurity

  • In conjunction with our IT provider, develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, privacy legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, security audits, and incident response planning.
  • Review and update applicable IT policies.
