JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Manufacturing Technician will assemble, test and configure motherboards, PC’s, hard drives, routers and other networking equipment. Maintaining the delivery schedule to customer sites is of the upmost importance. This individual will maintain internal demand of products as well as customer upgrades, replacements and repairs. They will facilitate the system updates and implementation of operating systems and other software within company products. Equipment integration and compatibility evaluations are necessary. Troubleshooting and repair of defective equipment including hardware and software issues. This must all be done while following the company’s security protocols and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Microsoft operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and configuration
  • Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware and software issues.
  • Possess relevant knowledge regarding the integration of hardware boards, random access memory, motherboard, processor and other essential components.
  • Computer-building and networking background experience preferred
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair broken equipment, including servers, networking and storage devices (e.g. replace hard drives, replace RAM, swap CPUs, motherboards, etc.).
  • Work independently or with others following guidance/instructions from leadership.
  • Follow the company’s security, environmental health and safety policies.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs of equipment
  • Assembles and configures all network components.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate set up and imaging.
  • Set up and test configurations based on job requirements and operating systems
  • Assembling networking components such as motherboards, hard drives, CPUs, and peripherals.
  • Ensure that the assembled networking products meet the required quality standards.
  • Set up of networking hardware such as routers, switches, HMI’s, etc.
  • Contributes to the orderly control of stock and material storage areas
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area
  • Other duties as assigned
