David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit an IT Network Engineer L2 for their Gaming studios in Belgrade, Serbia. Position: IT Network Engineer L2 Location: Belgrade, Serbia Employment type: Full-time Remuneration: Base salary DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Cisco networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure stable and high-performing network operations Assist in the deployment and optimization of wireless networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and rapid troubleshooting when needed Monitor network systems proactively to maintain performance, reliability, and security across all environments Diagnose and resolve network-related incidents efficiently, escalating when necessary and keeping detailed documentation of all actions taken Provide support for Linux and Windows systems related to network services such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN Maintain clear and up-to-date network documentation, ensuring transparency and operational continuity Contribute to implementing and enhancing network security measures including ACLs, firewalls, and VPNs under the guidance of senior engineers Collaborate closely with IT and Systems teams to deliver stable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions. REQUIREMENTS: Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication 2–4 years of practical experience in network engineering or IT support, working with Cisco networking equipment and wireless networks Solid hands-on knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches Basic understanding of firewall setups and Wi-Fi network management Working familiarity with both Windows and Linux systems, especially for managing network services Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP Skilled in using diagnostic tools like Wireshark, PRTG, or Zabbix to identify and resolve network issues Strong analytical mindset with the ability to stay calm and methodical under pressure Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive and collaborative attitude Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a strong plus Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and basic understanding of cloud networking concepts is an advantage.
