Job Title: IT officer Pay Band – PB4 Closing Date (Time) – 20th Jan 2026 Location – Saudi Arabia Contract Type – Fixed Term Contract – 12 months Salary – 4820.00 Purpose of job: To provide detailed ICT technical support to staff, systems, and infrastructure at Three sites in the KSA to ensure the IT systems at Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh sites meet operational needs, corporate standards, and service level agreements. This role is based in the Riyadh office with responsibility for Dammam office and Jeddah office. This role will be responsible for the delivery of IT services for the whole KSA and will report directly to IT Manager. Main opportunities/challenges for this role Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: System and network administration Provide technical and administrative support to IT service delivery by identifying Investigating, and resolving technical problems Assist in the maintenance, identification, and resolution of network problems Process IT related incidents via the standard Incident Management process Assist with the implementation of updates, changes and patches to the countries IT Infrastructure and services as advised by Global IS Application and User Support Assist in the investigation and resolution of problems relating to business applications Respond to user requests for GTI application or hardware support, and process these requests via the standard Incident management process Support Elevated Users in providing first level assistance to user problems. Ensure that all requests for new software are submitted to Global IS for testing. Awareness of the use and application of relevant software (e.g., the standard software used by the organisation) In collaboration with Global Service Desk assist with the rollout new business applications Management of staff mobile phones and data packages efficiently Management of IT inventory Management of office IP Phone system Compliance Knowledge of the Council’s IT policies and standards in relevant areas (e.g., Data Protection; Standards on the use of Council IT systems and equipment etc.) Assist Global Service Desk with the procurement, repair and disposal of computer equipment and storage of spares in line with Council standards Assist with the Monitoring of compliance with IT policies and procedures (Software, Web Filtering, etc.) Assist with IT reviews as scheduled by the Regional Hub Maintain anti-virus solution, and manage outbreaks according to British Council standard process Financial support Act as OSO2 role on SAP Send vendor creation/amendment requests on Portal Raising Purchase Order Requests as required Corporate Policies Complying to all corporate policies to the agreed standards, with a particular focus on Child Protection, Health & Safety, Fraud & Anti-bribery, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Language Requirement: Good Oral & written English Role specific knowledge and experience Minimum/Essential: Self-Driven and attention to detail High level of integrity and deadline oriented Minimum 3 years Support Co-ordination experience in an IT services organisation We are committed to policies and practices of equality, diversity and inclusion across everything we do.
