Piper Companies is seeking an IT Operations Lead who will be responsible for managing user access, licensing, and troubleshooting. The operations lead will be remote located on the east coast. For this opportunity, the right individual must be able to obtain or maintain a security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE IT OPERATIONS LEAD INCLUDE:

  • 4+ years of experience supporting cloud-based applications in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and user/license management.
  • Proven experience with Entra ID.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, tiered support models, and vendor coordination.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS security with best practices and device management.
  • Experience managing software and hardware asset inventories along with documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Managed Service Providers to implement and manage Microsoft 365 services.
  • Administer user identities, licenses, and configurations across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and other SaaS platforms.
  • Serve as the primary contact for access provisioning and revocation, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Deploy and manage security and compliance policies for cloud services and mobile devices.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support and act as an escalation point for vendor-supported services.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution, system changes, and escalations.
  • Research and evaluate new end-user software tools to enhance productivity and collaboration.
