The IT Operations Manager position is a critical role responsible for the IT infrastructure and operations at Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. You will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the firm’s IT systems. This position will assist the CIO in shaping the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and recommend changes to enhance the firm’s technological posture. As an IT leader you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and promote positive relationships within the IT Team and outside stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience (6+ years) managing a team of IT professionals, preferably within the professional sector
  • 12+ years of IT technical experience
  • Ability to trouble shoot problems and work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of technology operations (Active Directory, VMware, Azure, Networking, M365, Voice, Video Conferencing etc…)
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management and data protection
  • Proficient in project management and resource allocation

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management, maintenance and upgrade of the technology infrastructure, including cloud, networks, servers and hardware. Ensures the availability and reliability of critical systems.
  • Leads, mentors and manages the IT Systems team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Delegates tasks and responsibilities effectively while ensuring the team’s professional growth. Ensures high levels of service are provided.
  • Vendor Management is an important responsibility of this role. Collaborate with external technology vendors, manage vendor relationships and assesses third-party solutions for compatibility and security.
  • Implements and maintains robust cybersecurity measures, including data protection, encryption and access control. Ensures compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Develops and maintains disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the ability to recover from disruptions and minimize downtime.
  • Work with the CIO to make strategic decisions regarding technology investments, resource allocation and cost optimization.
