Role Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Management
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and closure of IT projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives including the Digital Strategic Plan
- Provide oversight on the enterprise IT portfolio of all technology projects across TSA including framework to priotitise
- Ensure interdependencies of programs and projects are managed
- Lead strategic initiatives on behalf of the IT SLT, including EGM-IT
Program & Project Management
- Lead the IT PMO Function including Projects, Governance and People to ensure high performance and fit for purpose framework to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
- Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain project governance framework to ensure timely and quality of delivery of technology projects
- Project plans, methodology and change management practices are consistent and compliant with CAD requirements
- Project outcomes are delivered in line with key project parameters such as budget, time, TSA benefit realisations.
- Accountable for demand management and resource management
- Support Organization Change Management activities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and build relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders for each project, managing expectations and providing regular and meaningful opportunities to provide both feedback and updates on project progress, critical staging points and outcomes.
Risk Management
- Effectively manage project-related risks and issues, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
Vendor Management
- Work closely with and monitor strategic relationships and delivery of vendor(s) working within the IT PMO.
- Ensure strong adoption of technology across the organisation in order to realise strategic benefits
Qualifications and Experience.
- Desirable - Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or Project Management
- Mandatory - Professional project management qualifications / certification i.e. PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Agile, Lean Sigma
- Extensive PMO, program and project management experience in delivering cross-functional projects across the full project life-cycle including developing business cases, managing stakeholder engagement, vendor management, working within a defined organisational framework and model, organisation change management, technical change management, managing budgetary and resourcing constraints and experience driving change and the ability to set direction
- Experience in managing technology projects including end-user compute (EUC), ServiceNow, software-integration, cybersecurity at large organisations
- 10+ years of project management experience
