Description IT POS Infrastructure Technician Job Type: Contract -1099 Full-Time Schedule: Variable; hours may change frequently Location: Field-based (travel required) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IT POS Infrastructure Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of POS systems, network equipment, and structured cabling. This role requires strong technical skills, reliability, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work schedule. Responsibilities Install and configure POS hardware, peripherals, and related equipment Perform structured cabling tasks: pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing data cables Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist with basic networking setup Conduct site surveys and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Complete job documentation and maintain accurate records Requirements Requirements Must have all necessary tools, ladders, and a reliable, appropriate work vehicle Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance required Experience installing POS hardware and performing data cabling Working knowledge of computer networking (routers, switches, IP addressing, etc.) Ability to work a variable schedule that may change frequently Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with retail or restaurant POS systems Familiarity with network testing tools and cable certification equipment
