JOB DESCRIPTION

We seek a highly skilled Indirect Procurement Expert focusing on IT to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing multi-year category strategies for IT-related spend, identifying opportunities for value creation, and maintaining strategic partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders. This role will report to the newly appointed Head of Indirect Procurement and will be part of a small but dedicated team. We are looking for someone to help shape and enhance the way we handle Indirect Procurement at zooplus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT-related procurement (Hardware, Software, Telecom) with an understanding of market-specific cost levers and contracting strategies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related business functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of data analysis methodologies and tools, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Fluent English and German are a plus.
  • Strong gravitas and empathy to effectively manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Responsibilities
  • Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for IT-related spend, including IT Services & Labor, IT Infrastructure (Hardware, Telecom), Cloud, and IT Software.
  • Value Creation: Actively seek and identify opportunities for value creation through cost savings, cost avoidance, and revenue enhancement. Develop and execute cost savings and strategic sourcing projects while ensuring business continuity and high levels of supplier performance.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret external and internal data to support business strategy decisions, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and should-cost modeling.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, stakeholders, and industry associations to ensure category strategy alignment with business goals and market potential.
  • Effective Contracting: Negotiate strong supplier contracts.
