THE OPPORTUNITY:

The City of Red Deer is currently recruiting for an IT Project and Business Analyst to fill a permanent full-time position. This position plays a critical role in the collaborative design of new or enhanced business processes and system implementations, balancing corporate and operational needs and influencing both.
Receiving work coordination from the IT Project and Business Support Coordinator, this position is responsible for liaising with City stakeholders, the Information & Technology Services leadership team, and external vendors to ensure enterprise technology systems and processes effectively support diverse functional requirements across the organization.
The incumbent in this position applies industry standard business analysis, process analysis, data analysis, project management, and change management tools and methodologies to support City stakeholders to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business practices through the innovative use of information technology.
This position plays a key role in supporting the core IT functional processes of Business Value, Project Management, Requirements Gathering, and Business Analysis.
