Responsibilities

As IT Project Manager, you will manage project/s from conception successfully through to completion - effectively managing a global team of IT experts and technical resources, and ensuring alignment with key stakeholders. You will do so by bringing subject matter expertise in multiple business and/or technology domains to solve business problems or needs in the area of Infrastructure, Network, UCC or IT Security.What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the projects following professional project management methodologies and best practices (Eg. Prince II), Adecco processes and tools including the management of each stage in the life cycle of projects (‘Start-up & Initiation’, ‘Plan phases’, ‘Execute phases’, ‘Project Closure’) in line with the Adecco Global Project Management Process.
  • Develop and/or review Business Cases to ensure the projects are executable and Business Cases are approved by the Project Approval Boards.
  • Project plans and proposals specify goals to reach, time frame, funding limitations. These include strategy, planning/scheduling, risks, mitigation plans, procedures for accomplishing projects and staffing, all the means required to successfully execute activities and to meet the project objectives.
  • Overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to projects including the identification of dependencies, time objectives, resources, quality criteria, cost constraints and overall project objectives.
  • Overall responsibility for coordinating activities and resources during all phases to ensure the project are delivered by the various delivery teams.
  • Overall responsibility for the implementation of the project as agreed within the business case by controlling the costs, scope, timelines, benefits, quality.
  • Overall responsibility for the project communication plan and reporting including roadmap, planning, actual, forecast costs against agreed budget, deliverables, needs for decisions, escalation for arbitrage. Anticipate and manage stakeholders. Manage the governance between involved and/or impacted teams (Eg. project vs operation teams, IT vs business teams, Infrastructure vs Security vs Network & UCC teams) and between Adecco and third-party suppliers.
  • Monitor risks and issues. Define and put in place mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Anticipates the impact of the project (Eg. on the organization) and proactively manages the change in alignment with the impacted managers.
  • Manage external resources (e.g. cross-functionally or multi-disciplinary) including offshore delivery models
  • Define, manage and report on budget actuals vs forecast. Track all costs.
  • Stakeholder management - Actively enrols senior business leadership in support and on-going ownership of major projects
  • Adheres to defined management and delivery processes for IT projects and other policies relevant to the project scope (e.g. HW/SW standards, Internal Controls, Compliance & Information Security)
  • Deliver projects within agreed quality, schedule and cost whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.

About you

  • At least 6+ years of working experience, 4 – 6 of those years with project management experience in a large global IT organization or consultancy
  • Hands on experience with ITSM (IT Service Management)
  • Proven track record successfully delivering large projects with budget responsibility
  • Good understanding and knowledge of general IT technology, systems and management processes in the area of Infrastructure, Network, UCC or IT Security
  • Design and implementation of new processes or methodologies in complex organizations
  • Good understanding of business processes and objectives
  • Capability to lead global virtual teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels, including executive management levels
  • Knowledge of IT Project Methodologies
  • Hands-on experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills essential
