THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of proven experience in IT project management.
  • A strong technical understanding of software development and agile methodologies, along with knowledge of IT architecture, cybersecurity, and information security.
  • Fluent communication skills in both English and Finnish.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively at all levels within an organization. Strong facilitation and organizational abilities are also essential.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and MS Project. Certifications in Project Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Scrum, or related fields are highly desirable.

Ideally, you would also have an understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

You would be instrumental in driving and managing IT projects within the AAOS Nordics organization. Your responsibilities would also include coaching and supporting both the IT and business teams in identifying and initiating projects, developing business cases, and navigating the approval process.
The scope of IT projects you will oversee includes infrastructure initiatives, application development, migrations, IT security enhancements, and more. In this role, you would report directly to the Head of IT Nordics. The role requires frequent travel.

You would also:

  • Monitor and track project progress against actual deliverables and expected quality, ensuring alignment among stakeholders regarding project status and updates.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business analysts, while managing relationships with third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Prepare comprehensive presentations and documentation required for the approval process.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies and local regulations, such as information security standards and GDPR requirements.
  • Integrate information and cyber security policies into all project workflows and deliverables to maintain robust security measures as well as conduct detailed risk management activities, ensuring transparency and presenting mitigated action plans to the steering committee.
