DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WORK TASK TO BE CARRIED OUT

Tasks and Responsibilities:
To lead a transition from current HNAS solution into a replacement file share technology. The Project Manager would need to possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. Here are the key qualifications and abilities such a person should have:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading IT infrastructure projects
  • Conducting supplier assessment and selection/contracting and leading the cooperation with third parties;
  • Leading the project team to ensure successful completion;
  • Managing stakeholders including preparing and facilitating project meetings and steering vendors;
  • Tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools and handling project changes appropriately;
  • Tracking and managing project budget;

DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

The candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • 10+ experience in IT Project Management
  • Technical background with good understanding of IT infrastructure (preferably incl. backup, storage / NAS solutions)
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication management skills
  • Project Management certifications i.e.. PMP, Prince2 or equivalent
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Experience in MS Office, Jira, Confluence
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Project Management Skills

  • Project planning and execution: Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets while managing risks and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Stakeholder management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to align key stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
  • Agile/Waterfall methodologies: Experience with project management frameworks like Agile or Waterfall, depending on the organization’s needs and the project scope.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability

  • Solution discovery: Ability to research, evaluate, and select the best solution, ensuring it meets both current and future business needs.
  • Flexibility: Capacity to handle ambiguity, especially since the target solution is not yet identified, and quickly adapt to new information or challenges.

Change Management

  • User adoption strategies: Experience leading user training and support initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of the new technology.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Ability to work with diverse teams (IT, security, compliance, etc.) to manage the transition effectively.

Vendor Management

  • Vendor selection and negotiation: Ability to manage relationships with potential technology providers and negotiate contracts that align with organizational goals.
  • Third-party integrations: Experience managing the integration of third-party services and technologies into existing infrastructures.

Security and Compliance Awareness

  • Data security: Knowledge of IT security best practices to ensure that the new solution complies with all relevant data protection and cybersecurity standards.
  • Compliance management: Understanding of industry-specific regulations that might impact the choice of solution, such as GDPR, DORA, ISO27001 etc.
