Job Description We are currently looking IT Project Manager - Consultant for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions. Skills Education/Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree. • Certification in Project Management (PMI). • MBA or Masters Degree is a plus. • Minimum 8 years’ experience in in managing IT projects in banking and financial services. • Training courses and certification in systems technology, management and banking is a plus Required Special Skills: • Strong project management skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. • Strong stakeholder management skills • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and financial management skills. • Self-driven with well-developed leadership, motivational and team-building skills. • Good interpersonal skills. • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt. Duties & Responsibilities: • Manage assigned portfolio of projects in accordance with the IT Project management methodology to ensure successful execution of the project as measured by set goals and customer satisfaction. • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the successful project completion. • Build effective communications and manage vendor engagements to ensure contractual obligations are met at both ends. • Coordinate between various departments within IT to ensure the progress of the ongoing projects. • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors and peers. • Report project progress and problems to management on a timely basis. • Prepare the project initiation reports, project status reports, project closure reports and all other requisite reports on a timely basis and communicate appropriately. • Minimize risk exposure by managing the scope and mitigating risk across projects. • Conduct/participate in team and client meetings, ensure team direction and objectivity. • Handle difficult project personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, and in liaison with the Human Capital function. • Understand system internals, architecture and limitations in deciding on methods of problem solving. • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required. • Ensure protection and security of project and other information from any unauthorized access within the overall security policy of the Group. • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information. • Identify areas for professional development of self and act to enhance professional development. Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
Responsibilities
The IT Project Manager will manage a portfolio of projects to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction. They will build relationships with departments and manage vendor engagements while reporting project progress to management.
