IT PROJECT MANAGER, CAPITAL MARKETS - MUREX TRADING PLATFORM MIGRATION:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager, Capital Markets - Murex Trading Platform Migration for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CAPITAL MARKETS - MUREX TRADING PLATFORM MIGRATION - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves the implementation of Murex as an end-to-end trading application for FX trading, migrating from Wallstreet to Murex. The IT Project Manager will support the current testing phases and drive the successful delivery of the FX trading expansion strategy in Europe, aligning with the modernization of the bank’s FX architecture.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CAPITAL MARKETS - MUREX TRADING PLATFORM MIGRATION - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 10+ years Proven Project management experience
  • 5+ years of recent experience with Murex Trading platform
  • 5+ years of Application migrations and Technology integration experience
  • 7+ years of experience in coordination and oversight of large-scale testing cycles (Unit testing, IST, UAT)
  • 7+ years of experience with project financial management and resource planning

IT PROJECT MANAGER, CAPITAL MARKETS - MUREX TRADING PLATFORM MIGRATION – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Exposure to Operational / trade processing functions is highly preferred
  • Previous experience with Top 5 Banks/FI
  • FX and FX options product knowledge and associated life cycle event processing
Responsibilities
  • Oversee execution of project including planning, status reporting, financials management, resource management, risks & issues identification and escalation, scope management, and communication strategy
  • Establish and manage governance forums as required with business stakeholders, technology partners and other support functions, including working groups, operating committees, and steering committees
  • Develop and lead end-to-end delivery, providing primary coordination function between key stakeholder groups
  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising, creating a high-performance environment
  • Anticipate business changes and client needs; recommend interventions and continuous improvement initiatives as required
  • Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with bank enterprise standards, governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures
