JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams. The PM will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions. The PM will play several different roles in actual practice:

Responsibilities

ENTERPRISE-LEVEL ROLE

At an enterprise level, role includes:

  • Leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level projects.
  • The projects may consist of multiple teams and require integration with other activities outside the scope of the teams.

TEAM-LEVEL ROLE

At a team level, role includes:

  • Playing a consultative role to put in place the appropriate people, process, and tools, to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coaching members of the team as needed to optimize the efficiency of the project team.

PROJECT ROLE

At a project level, role includes:

  • Using good judgment and skill to develop a project management approach that is suitable for planning and managing the effort.
  • Achieve the project goals within designated project constraints.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Project Initiation including Project Stand-up Calls with clients and Core technical teams.
  • Project Coordination using Prince 2 Agile Scrum Methodology including regular client and technical team scrum calls, sprint planning and review calls.
  • Advise key stakeholders on development and integration plans.
  • Change management – preparation of change notes including change note justification and commercial scoping.
  • Project Planning and Management – Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organise and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Team building – promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team. Mentor and nurture the project delivery team members in the project.
  • Project Status Reporting and Financial Management – in line with Core’s PMO processes; deliver weekly project updates and monthly governance reports to project stakeholders; reporting exceptions to practice project boards. Record the finances of the project provided accruals and project forecast data.
  • Project administration using PSA and Devops tools including:
  • Project planning and deliverable tracking.
  • Project backlog and release management.
  • Project risk & issue management.
  • Internal and external resource sourcing and coordination.
  • Coordination of Pilot and UAT project activities.
  • Project governance – budget & escalation management.
  • Timesheet approvals o Budget and financial control.
