IT PROJECT MANAGER II:

On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager II for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER II - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Project Manager II will support project teams to ensure technical excellence, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements are achieved. This role involves supporting project setup and implementation for maintenance and enhancement capital projects while ensuring adherence to corporate and client standards.

IT PROJECT MANAGER II - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related Technology Diploma in relevant engineering fields.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Client service oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solving skills.

IT PROJECT MANAGER II – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • CAPM, PMP, CET/RET certification, or P. Eng. designation.
  • Experience in Alberta-based EPC company.
  • Background in Measurement, Leak Detection, SCADA, or Industrial Controls.
  • Capable of reading P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of PMI processes.
Responsibilities
  • Provide project support for projects between Canada & US, ensuring efficient execution within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to understand project scope and reference documents.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and client project standards and procedures.
  • Assist in project administrative activities as assigned by the Project Management Lead.
  • Report on engineering and project progress against budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate the delivery and accuracy of purchased materials.
  • Organize and lead team project meetings and client meetings.
  • Be available for off-hours contact during construction and commissioning phases.
