IT PROJECT MANAGER – INFRASTRUCTURE Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite – 5 days per week) Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (TS eligibility preferred) Certification Required: PMP ---------------------------------------- ABOUT THE ROLE Improvix Technologies is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager with a Secret Clearance to lead infrastructure and modernization projects for our federal customer. The ideal candidate will support enterprise IT systems, networks, and cloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. This role will oversee infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and modernization initiatives while coordinating across technical and business teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery. As the Government’s primary point-of-contact for infrastructure projects, the Project Manager will be responsible for project status reporting, scheduling, personnel management, risk mitigation, and problem resolution. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage enterprise infrastructure projects including system upgrades, migrations, network modernization, and cloud adoption. * Work closely with stakeholders to capture requirements, define scope, and establish project schedules. * Coordinate technical teams responsible for servers, storage, networking, and security. * Ensure compliance with federal standards, security policies, and accreditation requirements. * Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of technical resources. * Track project progress using established methodologies and tools; provide regular reports to Government leadership. * Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve project challenges. * Facilitate meetings and working sessions with Government stakeholders and technical leads. * Recommend process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency, resiliency, and security. ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * PMP certification. * Active Secret clearance (TS eligibility preferred). * Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably in infrastructure or systems engineering projects. * Strong background in enterprise IT systems, networks, and cloud environments. * Experience with Agile and traditional project management frameworks. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. ---------------------------------------- PREFERRED SKILLS * Experience managing large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, datacenter transformations). * Familiarity with ITIL service management processes. * Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and federal compliance standards. * Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams in complex environments.
