IT PROJECT MANAGER IV:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager IV for a 12 initial months role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER IV - JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead the implementation of a Power Allocation Optimization application. This initiative involves enhancing a standard platform with specific business logic, operational constraints, and regulatory requirements in collaboration with a third-party technology partner.

IT PROJECT MANAGER IV - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT project management.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software implementations.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet.

IT PROJECT MANAGER IV – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree is an asset.
  • Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience with optimization technologies or energy trading platforms.
  • Familiarity with system integration, data modeling, and cloud-based platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines and budget forecasts.
  • Establish project governance structures and reporting cadences.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Manage the relationship with the third-party vendor and oversee contract compliance.
  • Ensure the application is tailored to operational needs and regulatory constraints.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure adherence to IT standards, cybersecurity policies, and data governance frameworks.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training and change management plan.
