Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and implementation of medium-sized, complex IT infrastructure projects within a security-sensitive environment.

The project focuses on the planning and implementation of a generic, platform-independent, and scalable secure collaboration service that enables cooperation with national and multinational partners as well as external industry stakeholders.

The Project Manager will support senior project leadership in project planning, controlling, documentation, risk management, governance, stakeholder coordination, and organizational project activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex IT projects
• Monitor milestones, deadlines, dependencies, deliverables, and resources
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, risk analyses, decision papers, and management presentations
• Organize and facilitate project meetings, including agendas and minutes
• Track actions, open items, and follow-ups
• Coordinate stakeholders, project teams, and project dependencies
• Support project governance, reporting, and decision-making
• Maintain project documentation, lists, and information management
• Support project managers with project-specific assignments

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT, or a comparable field; OR recognized IT vocational qualification; OR 6+ years of professional IT experience
• At least 3 years of substantive project management experience
• At least 3 years of practical experience in project planning and coordination
• Experience with both traditional and agile project management
• Strong practical knowledge of Jira and Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• German C1 required
• Strong communication, organization, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Willingness to travel up to 30%

Preferred

• IPMA Level D, PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or comparable PM certification
• Experience in IT infrastructure, secure collaboration, defence, public sector, or security-sensitive environments
• Experience with formal project governance and reporting
