We are recruiting for a IT Project Manager to join us here at Octavius. This is a 6 month contract with a possibility to be extended. The office base is central London but this s hybrid role and you you will mainly be home based with occasional travel to London and Reigate.

You’ll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

  • In this exciting role, you will oversee the implementation of technology changes within Octavius.
  • You will be responsible for the project definition and mobilisation to obtain business approval and project sign-off.
  • Subject to approval, you will lead project teams and oversee the planning, strategy, and execution of tasks to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects on time.
  • You’ll be working on multiple projects simultaneously, managing projects’ cost, time, scope and quality, and ensure the smooth transition to the new systems post-go-live.Although we expect our Project Manager to be working 5 days a week, we are happy to consider flexible working for this role (i.e. part-time or compressed hours). You will regularly liaise with a wide range of business counterparts and system users to identify IT and digital requirements. You will also work alongside the wider IT team to create business cases for IT transformation projects. You’ll have the following experience and knowledge:

  • Project management experience in Information Technology.
  • Exposure to the early stages of project mobilisation, working through the planning stages of a project.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management tools and methodology.
  • Understanding of Agile project management techniques and how they add value in IT projects.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and computer software.
  • Experience in a project-based business is an advantage.
  • You’ll have following qualifications: Certification courses in Project Management methodologies (essential).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent (desirable).
