Descripción del empleo The purpose of the IT Project Manager is to ensure the effective planning, prioritization, and execution of IT projects in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The role is responsible for coordinating with business and IT stakeholders to manage project scope, resources, timelines, and delivery expectations, ensuring that each initiative contributes measurable value to O‑I. Responsibilities PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Define project scope and objectives ensuring alignment with business strategy and stakeholder expectations. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocations. Lead project teams by assigning tasks, providing direction, and ensuring effective collaboration across technical and non-technical groups. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial adherence to approved funding. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project activities are executed efficiently. Monitor progress and performance through KPIs, dashboards, and project tracking tools. Ensure quality assurance and compliance with internal standards, architectural guidelines, security requirements, and regulatory frameworks. Manage project change control, including evaluating change requests and updating scope, timelines, and budgets as needed. Coordinate with vendors and third parties, including contract management, deliverable validation, and performance monitoring. Oversee project documentation, including requirements, technical specifications, testing results, and closure reports. Requisitos Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related discipline, or equivalent. Advanced degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum 5-8 years broad experience in the IT industry, including a proven track record in the successful delivery of major initiatives. Specific experience in leading projects and programs of at least (5) five years is required. Incumbent is expected to maintain PMP certification or other similar certification Solid working knowledge of project management methodologies of at least 8 years. Demonstrated business acumen; ability to understand commercial/process issues (project context; customer focus) and IT dependencies/considerations in order to assist in developing and maintaining viable work plans. Preparation of formal project plans, schedules and cost benefit analysis, including productivity tools appropriate for preparing same (MS Office, MS Project, portfolio management tools, etc.). Project management techniques including risk assessment/mitigation, estimating, planning, decision and dependency analysis, quality assurance Proven success with driving results on projects with high levels of complexity and/or technical issues.
