IT PROJECT MANAGER:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager for a 1-to-3-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Project Manager will manage complex IT and OT projects, primarily focused on enhancing Control, SCADA, and Leak Detection systems. The role involves utilizing Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to facilitate technical solutions and ensure best practice change management procedures are followed.

IT PROJECT MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong understanding of IT, OT, Data Centers, Application Development, Network Infrastructure, Control Systems, SCADA, and Leak Detection
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented work style
  • Motivated self-starter

IT PROJECT MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity associated with OT applications
Responsibilities
  • Manage full-time project management activities for projects up to $10MM
  • Execute projects in accordance with corporate standards, following both waterfall and agile methods
  • Ensure all PMO processes are followed and documents are produced
  • Develop and implement change management processes and tools
  • Prepare status reports and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Facilitate resolution of concerns or issues within projects
  • Provide governance and enforcement of project processes and standards
