IT PROJECT MANAGER, REGULATORY PROJECTS

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an IT Project Manager, Regulatory Projects for a 4 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, REGULATORY PROJECTS - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IT Project Manager will support an ongoing ISO project, ensuring continuity to maintain delivery timelines and mitigate operational risk. This role involves managing regulatory projects, with a focus on ISO and SWIFT standards, and requires strong communication skills to manage senior stakeholders and coordinate meetings and presentations.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, REGULATORY PROJECTS - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 8-10 years of experience as a Project Manager or related financial industry or regulatory experience.
• 5+ years of experience in regulatory projects (e.g., ISO, SWIFT) as a project manager.
• 5+ years of experience working within change management programs.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders, running meetings, and preparing presentations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI is an asset.

IT PROJECT MANAGER, REGULATORY PROJECTS – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience in capital markets project management.
• Experience with settlements and derivatives for ISO standards.

• Lead end-to-end delivery planning of assigned projects, including ideation, business case approval, and transition to BAU.
• Influence decision-making to align with business priorities and strategic technology architecture.
• Exercise independent judgment in project management, with guidance in complex situations.
• Impact program design, risk, and delivery across supported business areas.
• Manage governance forums with business stakeholders, technology partners, and support functions.
