This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Project Manager - Remote in the United States. In this role, you will lead IT projects that ensure the security, efficiency, and continuity of organizational information systems. You will manage multiple initiatives from planning to execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust security measures and compliance processes. This role combines technical expertise in networking and information security with strategic project management, allowing you to influence the adoption of best practices across the organization. You will be responsible for monitoring progress, resolving complex issues, and providing actionable insights to leadership. Accountabilities: Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Identify workflow and process requirements, obtain approvals, and manage documentation, testing, and training. Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on information security and compliance requirements. Analyze and resolve complex technical and operational issues across multiple systems and platforms. Develop reports, analyze trends, and communicate findings to management and stakeholders. Maintain awareness of industry advancements and incorporate best practices into project execution. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate and implement new technologies. Monitor project progress, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to achieve goals. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in information security. At least 3 years of experience with networking, intrusion detection, VPNs, PKI, firewalls (Checkpoint, PIX, CISCO), NAC, identity management, and encryption technologies. Hands-on knowledge of UNIX/AIX, Microsoft NT/2000, WANs, LANs, network protocols, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and multi-layer firewall design. Experience implementing information security technologies, defining security strategies, and managing vendor relationships. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, and work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, or CCNP certifications preferred.
