WHO ARE WE?

The School of Dentistry (SoD) Dental Informatics IT department is looking for an Information Technology Senior Project Manager to join our team.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (UNDERFILL)

As an Information Technology Intermediate Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage assigned project workstreams and provide project coordination for important technology plans, including the Epic Wisdom EHR, under the guidance of IT leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, resolve routine issues, assist with change management efforts, and ensure compliance and quality within assigned responsibilities.
  • Lead meetings, facilitate communications, and prepare reports for leadership, looking for guidance for complex matters.
  • Support process improvement efforts and contribute to an inclusive and team-focused environment.

Reporting: You will report to the Assistant Director of IT Programs and be accountable to the Chief Information Officer.Required Qualifications

Senior Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant project management experience (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Expertise in leading complex IT projects, preferably in healthcare or higher education.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Intermediate Level (Underfill):

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of project management experience (or equivalent education/experience) with demonstrated involvement in IT projects.
  • Experience supporting complex IT projects, developing schedules, and coordinating resources.
  • Collaborate as part of a team to achieve project goals and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Modes of Work
This position is eligible for a Hybrid work mode, with a set number of onsite days each week required. On occasion, employees may be required to work onsite more frequently based on job requirements or at the discretion of unit leadership or their designee. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout employment. Learn more about work modes.
Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM. Clinics may operate until 7:30 PM one to two evenings a week and occasionally on Saturdays. IT system upgrades, critical fixes, and maintenance are performed outside of normal business hours.Additional Information:
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Your primary working location will be within a set area within the School of Dentistry with the ability for a hybrid schedule. The School of Dentistry comprises multiple clinics and administrative locations in Ann Arbor. On occasion, you may need to travel to those locations. This is a two-year term-limited position.
