Description
SAIC is seeking an IT Security Administrator to work at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI side by side with the government customer. The ideal candidate will work on a small team to assess gaps in cyber security posture and develop and implement recommendations to remediate. Successful candidates should have relevant experience in the information technology and security field and the curiosity, drive, and skills to excel. Duties: Perform continuous security risk assessments and compliance automation. Attack daily system administration tasks for customers to include account lockouts, software installation, and troubleshooting. Identify and patch operating system vulnerabilities. Facilitate the repair of computer systems of varying classifications. Manage small-scale network infrastructure. Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. 2+ years of Experience with a B.S. degree in a STEM career field, or 0 years of experience with a Masters degree. DoD 8570 IAT Level II Required – (CompTIA Sec+, or equivalent certification). Hands-on experience with operating system security (Windows, Linux) and endpoint protection solutions. Experience with conducting security assessments. Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities
