Role Overview As our IT & Security Administrator, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that keep our team secure, productive, and compliant. You’ll handle everything from provisioning new employee computers to setting up domains, VPNs, and user access controls. You’ll also design and implement security policies that protect our high-value licensed data. Occasionally, you’ll take the lead on light infrastructure projects, such as upgrading client factory networks. This is a hands-on, foundational role where you’ll own IT processes end to end. Responsibilities Provision and configure NUC computers for remote employees (US, Mexico, and India). Set up and maintain a Windows domain and VPN for company devices. Manage automated updates, security patches, and device compliance. Define and enforce user access levels for licensed OEM data based on project assignments. Monitor and maintain system security, including identity management and endpoint protection. Support light infrastructure projects (e.g., factory router/firewall/switch upgrades). Document processes and create onboarding guides for employees. Provide Tier 2 IT support (troubleshooting issues escalated from staff). 5+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and VPN solutions. Experience with endpoint provisioning and patch management. Understanding of access control principles and data security best practices. Familiarity with networking fundamentals (routers, firewalls, switches).
