Sovereign Network Group (SNG) is seeking an IT Security Assurance Analyst to join our IT and Information Security team. Based from either Basingstoke or Wembley, you’ll combine home and office working in line with our hybrid approach.

THE ROLE:

As an IT Security Assurance Analyst, you will contribute to the organisation’s resilience by identifying and mitigating security risks, monitoring for threats, and supporting response efforts to security incidents.
Your role will involve conducting security audits, supporting vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aiding in the investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents
• Assisting in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with security standards, laws and regulations, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001
• Conducting regular security audits and assessments, providing reports and recommendations
• Supporting in carrying out regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
• Working with internal teams and external vendors to remediate security vulnerabilities
• Assisting in evaluating new security technologies and risk mitigation solutions
• Ensuring internal and external threat intelligence is captured and addressed
• Aiding in producing performance metrics to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Security controls
