Responsibilities Design and implement security measures to protect the organization’s information systems. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks. Develop and update security policies and procedures based on best practices and regulatory requirements. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents as they arise. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development practices are followed. Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in IT security or a related role, preferably in the software industry. Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and authentication systems. Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
