Description

IT Security Officers are responsible for overseeing information security for a specific IT sector. This position is tied to the Personal and Business Services segment of the property and casualty insurance sector. The ITSO has a direct influence on the division at a technological level. ITSOs are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities including risk analysis, reviewing action plans, contextualizing vulnerabilities, producing information security executive dashboards and monitoring strategic sector initiatives. Throughout their day-to-day operations, they exude a tactical and strategic influence over various sectors as well as future investments in information security. At Desjardins, ITSOs are supported by a range of technical IT security experts who use a matrix approach to improve their own workflows as needed. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Work in close collaboration with the chief security officer’s representative, that is to say, business security officers (BSO).
  • Serve as a sectoral expert for certain cross-sector files to help improve the way technological teams are managed.
  • Act as a representative of the Desjardins Security Office to influence critical suppliers with their information security service delivery.
  • Serve as a sectoral expert for large-scale projects with a high level of complexity, including major projects and business acquisitions.
  • Use your sectoral expertise to proactively influence the technological teams that report to you.
