Job description:
As a service provider, we offer numerous IT services to public and industrial clients, including consulting, support, system administration, and project management.
To support our SecOps (Security Operations) team, we are immediately seeking an
IT Security Specialist / Technician (m/f/d) in Ulm or Bonn.
Are you eager to tackle these tasks with us?
- Monitoring and controlling the IT security infrastructure, in particular firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint security solutions, and VPN connections
- Reviewing and optimizing firewall rules and network segmentations to ensure a high level of protection
- Documenting system configurations, processes, and changes
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating regular vulnerability scans of our IT systems and applications
- Developing and implementing measures to address identified vulnerabilities in close collaboration with other IT teams
- Creating reports and presentations of scan results and implemented measures for management and relevant departments
- Continuously optimizing scan processes and the tools used
- Collaboration in the development and implementation of IT security policies and concepts.
- Support in conducting security audits and penetration tests.
- Active monitoring of current threats and vulnerabilities, as well as deriving recommendations for action.
Does this sound like you?
- Completed IT training, e.g., as an IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d) or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in firewall administration
- Sound experience with Sophos and Genua security solutions is an advantage
- (Basic) Linux administration knowledge is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Occasional business travel is not a problem for you
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills (at least level B2) complete your profile
- Team-oriented work style with a high degree of personal responsibility.
