Description JOB SUMMARY Responsible for installing and servicing Security Alarms, CCTV, and Access Controls including roughing in electrical boxes & conduit work, pulling multi conductor cables, terminating multi conductor cables, network programming, troubleshooting, and testing all related systems. Provides administrative functions, inspections, testing, training, reporting and issuing of security access media for CRAA approved Airport Security Program. Conducts a variety of security checks, inspections, and tests to protect CRAA information and infrastructure from external or internal threats. This position reports to the Manager, Information Technology Operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Conducts a variety of security checks, inspections, and tests to protect CRAA information and infrastructure from external or internal threats: monitors and audits security practices in compliance with all necessary federal, state, and local laws governing airport security; and issues security access media, verifying compliance with TSA-approved Airport security access protocols. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of security equipment and/or testing equipment; serves as the technical expert for the security systems including assembling security systems or prototypes; works with the Engineers to develop a framework for security systems and infrastructure; develops short- and long-term plans to meet Airport Security needs, and mandated requirements and adhere to Airport Security Plan (ASP). Initiates solutions to on-site technical design issues involving security systems equipment; initiates the conceptual design, technical specifications and oversees implementation of all new security systems/projects; reviews design team technical reviews and plan specifications; coordinates with external contractors implementing new systems and projects to modify existing systems. Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments: operates and maintains test equipment, airport systems simulating operating conditions, and other power or motorized equipment; fiber tools and splicers, aerial lifts/forklifts, power tools, and various testing and hand tools; operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions. Communicates with Airport officials, supervisor, other employees, clients, third party service contractors, vendors, tenants, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems. Collaborate with engineers or other personnel to identify, define or solve developmental problems. Sets up or operate test equipment to evaluate performance of Security equipment parts, assemblies or systems under simulated operating conditions. Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Associate degree in computer science or a related field, Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience. Specific License or Certification Required: Valid South Carolina driver’s license.
