The intern will work closely with the Service Desk team to develop technical skills, enhance problem-solving abilities, and contribute to the overall efficiency of IT support operations. As a Service Desk Intern, your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing technical support and assistance to end-users. The role involves various tasks related to call handling, hardware support, and ticket management. Below is a detailed job description: Responsibilities Provide support and assistance for incoming calls, emails, and walk-by requests Learn to identify and prioritize user issues Assist in the imaging and configuration of client-facing computers Learn the process of setting up and deploying software Learn procedures for safeguarding and managing user information Learn the process of wiping and preparing hardware for recycling Follow guidelines for environmentally responsible hardware disposal Participate in inventory tracking and updating processes Learn to maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets Gain experience in creating, updating, and closing tickets for tracking purposes Work alongside team members to understand the ticketing system  Knowledge & Skills Technical Skills: Gain hands-on experience in imaging and configuring computers Customer Service: Learn to provide support and assistance to end-users Ticketing Systems: Familiarize yourself with ticket management systems Hardware Management: Understand the process of hardware recycling and inventory tracking Professional Development: Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced IT professionals Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
