JOB DESCRIPTION

Central Technologies, Inc. is a Technology Solutions Provider headquartered in Knoxville Tennessee. Central provides a strategic line of technology related products that focus on solutions for Education, Government and Corporate organizations. The employees and contractors of Central have been serving the technology needs of customers in the Southeast for over 20 Years.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an IT tech desired
  • 2 year degree and a+ certification desired but not required, work or similar experience to be considered in lieu of formal certification.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Outgoing personality & ability to work in a Team Environment
  • Dress and route cabling into telecommunications closets as well as into individual work areas and outlets.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout Tennessee and work off hours. Some out of state work is possible.
  • Work in unusual and difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, crawl spaces and above ceilings
  • Familiar with basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Some experience a plus but not required

TICKETING EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong history of accurate and punctual ticket maintenance, experience with ConnectWise suite desired but not required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proven professionalism in difficult situations
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Prioritization of job tasks

DOCUMENTATION SKILLS:

  • Ability to document and create manuals and work plans for other employees and clients
  • Ability to clearly communicate work plans and deployments.
  • Complete installations of projects on time and within budget based on the customer consultation and expectations.
  • Use approved industry standards and techniques to ensure proper system function with installed equipment.
  • Create documentation, analyze, modify and test each system to ensure proper function.
  • Maintain and Deploy user specific system images.
  • Ensure that all installed systems and programs are tested working properly.
  • Help maintain company vehicle and keep up with scheduled maintenance.
  • Help maintain the inventory for the projects you are assigned to.
  • Assist with warehouse maintenance, shipments, deliveries, staging, loading and unloading on an as needed basis.
  • Keep a neat and clean work area and equipment that you use in your daily duties.
  • Be willing to adapt to your job schedules and tasks.
  • Be able to work odd hours if needed (occasionally)
  • Other duties as assigned.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
