Site IT Operations & Support: Leads the management and maintenance of all site IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and network resources across assigned non-manufacturing, research, and advanced engineering sites in SouthEast Michigan. Ensure robust field operations support to ensure superior employee technology experience. Project & Initiative Implementation: Oversees the successful local implementation of global IT initiatives, including new projects, technology upgrades, and tech refresh programs, ensuring successful deployment and integration at the site level. Business Relationship Management: Serve as the primary "face-off" for local skill teams and business customers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring IT services meet their evolving needs. Act as a voice of the customer to influence the IT roadmap and drive requirements for enhanced employee experience. Local Project Management: Take on project management roles for local IT projects funded by site-specific business units or skill teams, overseeing them from initiation to successful completion. Team Leadership & Development: Potentially lead and mentor a team of L2 support ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality on-site and remote support, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Security & Compliance: Oversee the implementation and adherence to IT security policies and compliance standards, protecting data, network access, and information assets at the sites. Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Identify problematic IT areas, implement strategic solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT service delivery and efficiency. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or a related field. Proven experience supporting non-manufacturing, research, or advanced engineering environments is highly desirable. Background in project management. Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure components (networking, servers, cloud services, end-user computing). Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL). Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Customer-centric mindset with a focus on enhancing the employee technology experience. Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, AWS). Experience with advanced engineering tools and software common in R&D environments. Familiarity with Ford's IT ecosystem and corporate culture.
