JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, hard-working IT assistant who has knowledge and experience of providing first line IT support and supporting customer implementations in Contract Logistics. Within the core value of delivering Excellence & continuous improvement, the IT Assistant will focus on delivering support services to customers & operations team at London Medway. The whole ethos is one of exceeding SLA’s and providing a fast response, proactive and sustained service. The IT Assistant will work within all SLA’s and KPI’s to support delivery in line with Key Business Requirements while demonstrating strong company values.

Responsibilities
  • Setup and support of all IT equipment including, but not limited to laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, hand-held scanners, VOIP phones and mobile devices.
  • Maintenance and support of warehouse mechanical handling equipment.
  • Management of access control system (Paxton Net2) - training will be provided.
  • Asset Management including warranties.
  • Management of hardware refresh programme.
  • Disposal of old redundant IT equipment in line with WEEE regulations.
  • Provide maintenance support, remote or on-site, to all Noatum Logistics facilities.
  • Provide project support, remote or on-site, to all Noatum Logistics facilities.
  • Creating technical documentation such as network diagrams.
  • Creating FAQs and instruction guides as required.
  • Dealing with 3rd party providers as required.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 including, but not limited to, Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Visio, Teams.
  • Experience of desktop imaging and current deployment technologies.
  • Experience of network patching.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Experience of hardware support of printers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, hand-held scanners and warehouse equipment.
  • Experience or exposure to SQL database desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience or exposure to Programming desirable, but not essential.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Experience of providing IT support in a busy warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and work flexibly.
  • Logical and methodical thinker.
  • Full Driver’s Licence with unrestricted daily access to a car
